The Happy Cemetery

Some of my favorite photos and many of my most enjoyable vacation memories have taken place in cemeteries. The photo above was taken at an ocean front cemetery in Sydney, Australia, near the famous Bondi Beach.

Visit The Happy Cemetery and you may change your perspective about the hereafter. “Close to the Ukrainian border in northwest Romania, the Happy Cemetery dates back to 1935 and contains about 800 headstones. The Happy Cemetery in Sapanta, also called “The Folk Art Museum”, is a fresco of community life, unique in the world, where the dead are celebrated with humorous poems recalling their lives.” Doesn’t that sound like a fun place to spend eternity?
